Founded in 1995 to support two individuals, Arcane Horizon has grown to support over 60 individuals presently, with a variety of different support services.

  • Overseeing operations within a home and providing direct support to individuals with an intellectual disability
  • Providing positive leadership and direction to the staff team
  • Being an advocate for the individuals supported by the agency
  • Researching and implementing activities
  • Being a part of the agency's emergency oncall rotation
  • Attend and participate in annual individual planning sessions as required
  • Perform crisis management as required
  • Complete payroll, scheduling and other clerical duties

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a supported living setting is required
  • A minimum of three years experience working in residential support situations required
  • Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends as required
  • Postsecondary education in Social Work, Psychology, Community Support/Supervisions or a related discipline considered an asset
  • Highly selfmotivated and able to manage with a minimum of supervision
  • Energetic and motivated with a demonstrated ability to motivate others
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills a must
  • Working knowledge of current Vulnerable Persons legislation an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Possess a valid 5F driver's license and a car
