Who You Are
The Property Manager (PM) advises and executes the decisions of the board of directors of the syndicate of co-ownership.

They manage the day-to-day operations of the building, interact with the co-owners and maintenance providers, while overseeing the financial health of the syndicate.

The PM will need to be flexible in working hours as emergency situations my require onsite coordination after regular business hours and weekends.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Plan and lead board meetings and annual general assemblies
  • Oversee the syndicates financials (approval of invoices, allocation of expenses, preparation of annual budget, etc.)
  • Read and understand legal and financial documents
  • Oversee the execution of seasonal maintenance work
  • Oversee the execution of capital projects
  • Oversee the execution of damage property files
  • Negotiate, award and supervise subcontracts and professional contracts approved by the syndicates Board of Directors
  • Onsite evaluation of required work, coordination of multiple quotations, evaluation of quotations, selection of contractors, scheduling of work, ensuring work remains on schedule/budget and final approval of work.
  • Anticipate, assess and resolve ad hoc issues related to internal and external building maintenance, and customer service
  • In collaboration with the Operations department and building maintenance providers, ensure that work performed on sites meets the standards and objectives set for quality, safety and work relations, deadlines, costs and take corrective action, as needed.
  • Participate in rotation of the emergency response team
Qualification

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in multistory residential projects, condominium projects and/or construction sites
  • Experience with condominium property damage files
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Recognized team player while still able to work autonomously
  • Excels in leadership and communication skills, proactivity, management of priorities and stress, positive mindset
  • Excellent command of the French and English language (oral and written)
  • Computer literate
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Clear Criminal Record
