    Description
    Position: Industrial ElectricianDepartment: MaintenanceLocation: WoodbridgeShift: Day ShiftPay: $39 per hour
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Ensure all repairs to machinery and equipment are completed in a timely manner with attention to safety, quality, cost, and timing.
    • Train both the theory and practical applications of the maintenance and repair processes and best practices to members of the Team respecting skill levels, with attention to safety, quality, cost and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
    • Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards; Ensure work area is kept neat and organized.
    • Participate in the flow of information within the department as well as interact with the Leadership Team, Team Leaders, etc.
    • Travel as required for training, technical benchmarking, etc.
    • Must be prepared and able to work on various shifts independently.
    • Must be available for telephone, etc. support and Call-In's as required.
    • Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and initiatives.
    • Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abide by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promote safety in the workplace.
    • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behaviours; Participate in accident/incident investigation process.
    Requirements:
    • Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician #442A or Construction Maintenance Electrician #309A.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Licensed Electrician on CNC equipment is a requirement.
    • Experience with maintaining and servicing 3, 3+2 or 5 Axis CNC Machining Centers, Boring Mills, etc.
    • Electrical work experience in automotive industry or CNC machine shop is required.
    • Ability to work independently on troubleshooting machinery and equipment and performing electrical repairs.
    • Perform Electrical PM's on all machinery and equipment
    • Knowledgeable on the construction and practical application of the various machines and equipment in the CNC machining department and the overall shop.
    • Run conduits of all sizes, install panel boards and disconnects, wire said devices for feeder and branch circuits.
    • Maintain and repair electrical process(es) to specifications from vendor supplied schematics, data, drawings, and instructions.
    • Ability to problem solve and repair drive systems on screw and belt type conveyor systems.
    • Understand and problem solve various types of drive motors, linear and torque motors, and drive modules.
    • Understand and problem solve measurement and feedback systems for CNC machines.
    • Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and their operation as well as maintenance and repair.
    • Ability to perform electrical maintenance of the general plant and building systems and equipment.
    • Ensure all spares, equipment, tooling, etc. within the department under your control are managed.
    • Strong knowledge of computer software and hardware.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial electronics
    • Understand required information to complete the maintenance and repair process(s) to specifications from vendor supplied schematics, data, drawings, and instructions with regards to hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical components and operation
    • Participate in the determination of the need for, and interact with, Service and Maintenance Specialists contracted to perform specific tasks on machines, equipment, and the plant.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS
    • Strong ability to effectively analyze situations and problem solve.
