Description

Job Profile:
The Saw Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating the equipment in a safe manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

Interpretation of plans, specifications or drawings (Blueprints) of products or parts to Be manufactured.
Mark dimensions and understand tolerances for parts
Operate power saw and use hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components
Inspects and ensures the quality of the parts produced
Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

General Expectations:

Follow prescribed safety standards, rules and regulations
Participate in safety culture; lead by example
Identify nonconformities and participate in their resolution
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Recommend improvements and participate in improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
Maintain a wellorganized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision
Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures
Maintain a healthy work environment

Qualifications:

Strong mathematical skillset, good with calculations
Experience with setup & nesting software
Ability to monitor and operate CNC plasma machine
Overhead crane experience
Strong attention to detail
12 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with Epicor would be an asset
