Parts Manager - Elie, Canada - AGWEST Ltd.
Description
Implement improvements in processes relating to inventory turns, service percentage, warehouse efficiency, safety and other corporate objectives- Facilitate ordering of all Ag parts vendors on a daily basis to ensure appropriate stock levels during various seasons to meet customer expectations
- Ensure monthly reports are prepared to Internal and External sources
- Ensure monthly stock returns are sent to vendors
- Help coach and develop staff to follow appropriate Ag West procedures
- Ensure Invoices are processed in timely fashion
- Ensure claims for discounts are applied for in timely fashion to keep inventory cost base down
- Make decisions regarding local versus corporate purchases
- Manage the setup, flow, and annual reconciliation of any Ag West consignment inventories/customer programs
- Working closely with the Corporate Parts Group will be required
- Participate in workplace safety, environmentally sound and healthy behaviours and objectives at all times
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in the Ag Equipment Industry.
- Knowledge and experience with as/400, Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word, internet and Intranet
- Working knowledge of DBS an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, and sound decision making/forecasting ability
- Ability to work independently and help coach/influence others on team.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of customer service in a fast paced work environment.
- Postsecondary education preferred
