PURPOSE OF POSITION
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our facilities and equipment.
You will oversee a team of maintenance staff, manage maintenance schedules, and coordinate repairs and upgrades to support the seamless functioning of our operations.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs for buildings, equipment, and other assets.
- Conduct regular assessments of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to address maintenance issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment manuals.
- Monitor budgets and expenditures related to maintenance activities, ensuring costeffective solutions and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Procure materials, supplies, and services necessary for maintenance projects, negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors as required.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in maintenance and facility management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3 years) in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a law enforcement or similar organization.
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in maintenance procedures, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Sound decisionmaking abilities, with a focus on problemsolving and resource management.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards relevant to facility maintenance.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Education:
- College diploma or degree in a mechanically related field of study.
- Additional certification or training in maintenance management or related field preferred.
