    Description
    IRATA Level 1 and Level 2 Rope Access TechniciansThe Rope Access Technician is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations under the direct supervision of an authorized Level 3 rope access supervisor. The technician will use Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete a wide variety of inspection, maintenance and other industrial work tasks while on ropes or in difficult access areas. Technicians must have the ability to perform work that is physically demanding, have good communication skills and the ability to assimilate a large amount of new information. Responsibilities may also include rescue operations, technical reports and administrative tasks. Work hours, locations, shifts and nature of work assignments vary greatly and travel may be required.

    Candidates must be local to Atlantic Canada Region.

    Job Duties


    • Ensure Team Industrial Service safety, quality, and professional standards are always met.


    • Perform Rope Access work as required.


    • Support business development whenever possible to help grow the business.


    • Perform work in compliance with local safety and quality processes.


    • Encourage participation from operations, technical and maintenance in developing innovative solutions to problems.


    • Perform other duties as required.

    Requirements


    • Valid/Current IRATA Level 1 or 2 Certification mandatory.


    • Valid First Aid & Confined Space Certification is an asset.


    • Eligible for employment in Canada.


    • Valid driver's license that is compliant with Company policy.


    • Solid technical skills as a rope access technician.


    • Strong organizational and time management.


    • Excellent verbal and written skills.


    • Computer literacy with ability to use basic Microsoft Office programs including; Word, Excel and Outlook.


    • Experience and/or aptitude for working in a range of industrial environments.


    • Proven experience in listed Competencies.


    • Ability to travel as required.


    • Experience using NDT techniques, procedures and equipment in the Oil and Gas Industry is an asset.

    Work Conditions


    • 75-80% travel time.


    • Ability to attend and conduct safety meetings and job briefs.


    • Working at heights.


    • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.


    • Overtime as required.


    • Weekend work as required.


    • Work both indoors and outdoors.


    • May be exposed to hazards associated with the oil and gas industry.
