Description

VM Dafoe Machine Shop has been a family run business for 125 years.

We provide propeller shafts and marine components to local fish boats, tug boats and pleasure yachts for local and international markets.

We are seeking a full time experienced manual and CNC machinist. The ideal applicant will have experience in a production or jobbing shop


Technical skills required:

Large lathes, milling machines, drill presses and CNC machines (Programing and operating, Okuma).


Qualifications:

Minimum three years as a machinist

Must be able to use all measuring tools (eg. Micrometers, calipers)


Wages:
Cad $70,000 to 85,000 based on experience

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday 8 to 4:30


Salary:
$75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- machinest: 3 years (preferred)
