Role:


Reporting to the Deputy Minister, your strategic focus underpins your strong leadership and direction to shape provincial level strategies and system wide plan design that support initiatives for integrated, addiction and mental health services across the full continuum of care.

The work of the division includes developing strategic policy and legislation as well as program plans for service delivery.

Using your strong influential and collaboration skills you will work to bring Mental Health partners together to integrate ideas and approaches that align with government priorities.

Your transformational leadership will influence the delivery of recovery-oriented system of care.

With a commitment to stimulating creative thinking about mental health and addiction system challenges, you will capitalize on leading edge practices that build policy capacity and research expertise to inform and influence critical continuum of care system decisions.

Modelling a highly collaborative approach, you will engage a broad stakeholder network to establish a path toward improved addiction and mental health outcomes for Albertans.


Qualifications:

Your career reflects related progressive executive leadership within mental health and addiction and/or health sectors. You have a solid understanding of global mental health and addiction care strategies and programs.

You are recognized for strategic planning expertise and your capacity to influence the development of policy and legislation and evidence-based practices to inform executive decision making.

A systems approach and the agility to foster innovative approaches that position organizations and government to address complex challenges in rapidly changing environments are essential.

You bring a reputation for engaging and equipping teams to deliver results, and a commitment to building organizational capacity for service excellence.

Your practiced collaboration skills position you to build productive partnerships and stakeholder networks, deal with highly charged and political issues, and manage crisis situations.

Experience in the health care or human service systems is considered an asset and a related degree is required.


Salary:

$5, $7,804.23 bi-weekly ($155,206 - $203,690 annual)
