Responsibilities:


  • Cash management for large number of Canadian and US accounts
  • Review and verify General Ledger transactions to support a complete and accurate Trial Balance
  • Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations (including intercompany)
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
  • Prepare yearend working papers
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with accounting software and proficient in EXCEL
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.

Salary:
From $90,000.00 per year
