We are looking for a

_Wealth and Tax Planning Consultant_


Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for expert resource for insight into income tax and estate planning for business owners, professionals and high-net-worth clients.

You will be working primarily with Canada Life insurance wholesalers and aligned advisors to drive sales results of life insurance and living benefits insurance products.


What you will do

  • Provide balanced risk recommendations through case analysis, consultation and joint field work with advisors, their clients and the client's professional counsellors
  • Use your skills and tax and estate planning knowledge to train and transfer knowledge, present and explain to a variety of audiences representing varying knowledge levels
  • Contribute to the development of advisors and field partners in life insurance and living benefits products and sales strategies
  • Seen as an industry expert through the participation in both company and industry events
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships within the regional team, advisors, and clients
  • Maintain awareness of tax and estate planning developments and trends affecting the insurance industry
  • Acquire solid knowledge of all key insurance products and related planning strategies
  • Contribute to and consider new approaches to doing business with advisors and clients
  • Occasional travel will be required throughout the region

What you will bring

  • Possess solid knowledge of tax and estate planning issues affecting business owners and high worth individuals
  • Three to five years income tax experience (including owner manager and estate planning)
  • Completion of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Income Tax course
  • Chartered professional accountant or lawyer
