The role:
We're looking for a
Mill Operator to join the production team in Langley, British Columbia.

This position is focused on maximizing premix plant and warehouse equipment and systems to achieve the highest quality product at the highest throughput possible.

In this role you will operate the assigned machinery in a safe and effective manner and will be responsible for ensuring that all the duties and tasks listed below are completed in a responsible and professional manner.

The shift hours are Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

We ask team members to be flexible as we may require overtime or Saturday Shifts depending on production volume and customer requirements.


What you'll do:

  • Mill Operation, sequencing, mill routing, performing handadd batch additives, and loading macro/micro bins with forklift
  • Responsible for workspace housekeeping and for following CFIA and HACCP procedures and regulations
  • Receiving of bulk ingredients
  • Completing health and safety prestart checklists
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure that the products are being produced that meet established quality standards and specifications
  • Storing and cataloguing batch samples
  • Operating manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
  • General housekeeping duties to ensure the warehouse is organized and clean
  • Loading finished goods on to customer's vehicles/trucks both bulk and warehoused
  • Counting and maintaining stock levels in coordination with the Production Supervisor to ensure that the mill has adequate raw ingredients.
  • Ensure that all orders are manufactured on time so products can be shipped on schedule.
  • Suggest ways to control / reduce cost or improve efficiency
  • Maintaining necessary documents as required for daily mill operation
  • Bagging ingredients as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Your background includes:


  • Minimum High school diploma and 13 years of related warehouse and operations experience
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork and organization skills
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude
  • Selfstarter
  • Able to work Independently
  • Lifttruck Operator experience
  • Ability to read and understand technical materials
  • Familiar with operations within a warehouse setting, products and particular handling requirements
  • Must be able to lift 30 kg without restriction and complete other physical demands of the job
  • Excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate
