LOCATION:
Guelph, ON


We are looking for a
Plant Manager to join our Operations Team The Plant Manager leads all dairy plant Operations.

He is also responsible for accelerating the Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement journey. He provides a clear roadmap to obtain SQCDME world-class Manufacturing performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delay, Mobilization, and Environment).

EXPERIENCE

  • You have at least 10+ years of relevant experience working in a dairy facility or similar capacity
  • You have experience building and managing highfunctioning teams
  • You have a successful track record contributing to costreduction strategies
  • You have a Degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Operations, or in a similar field

NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Experience/education in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • Commitment to an ongoing professional development
  • Professional Designation (PEO, CMA, Lean, SMRP, or other)

THINGS YOU WILL DO

  • Develop a vision of an effective work system and a plan to move the workforce in the direction of the vision
  • Help maintain a positive work environment and develop, coach, guide and motivate the team to success
  • Develop and manage the annual variable, fixed and capital budgets of the plant
  • Drive continuous improvement in plant operations, employee safety, culture, and product quality
  • Work on forecasting and budget controls and ensure the plant meets budget guidelines
  • Ensure effective capacity planning is accomplished for future growth forecasts
  • Actively support all Food Safety and Food Defense Programs in the daily execution of duties
  • Actively coach and develop a team of direct reports

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$110,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
