Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Logistics Material Flow Coordinator in Fort Saskatchewan or Prentiss, AB


Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Meets the customer requirements to ensure ontime delivery and lowest costtoservice product transportation to the final destination.
  • Monitors timely shipments by Logistics Service Providers from origin.
  • Monitors systems transactional activity and resolves transaction failures.
  • Identifies noncompliance of Logistics Service Providers and takes appropriate action and supports logistics Quality Measure resolution.
  • Resolves logistics issues in the material flow work process to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Verifies if logistics capability versus special requirements can be matched.
  • Responsible for accuracy of logistics data and accurate logistics charges.
  • Manages nonstandard orders, changes and exceptions requiring different transport arrangements.
  • Monitors and checks the shipment creation process, arranges transport, checks compliance with loading dates and/or times.
  • Communicates special delivery requirements to the carrier and finds alternative carriers to deliver specific shipments.
  • Registers noncompliances and associated corrective actions in the quality measure. Escalates repetitive noncompliances to focal point.
  • Processes high value or legally complex claims and determines correct course of action.
  • Provide rail contractor with car list/ switch plan daily.
  • Monitors production posting automation; Registers noncompliances and associated corrective actions. Complete as needed.
  • Balance/ TECO FINI orders.
  • Month end activities.
  • Monthly cycle counting.

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Accounts payable or Purchasing.
  • A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in the Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Your preferred qualifications:

  • A Technical Diploma or higher.
  • SAP experience.
