    As a Project Lead you will support the development of capital project execution plans and schedules. Your goal will be to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, supporting projects by evaluating and determining the scope of work. Your success will be in developing project schedules, supporting execution of the work, managing costs, and workforce requirements to support the overall goals of each project.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Support development of a detailed scope for each project within the capital portfolio program by outlining the workforce and resources required to support and execute the plan.
    • Support the execution of developed scope by collaborating with Project Managers, Construction Leads, Planners, Engineering department and Contractors in agreed upon timeframe.
    • Schedule and lead reoccurring meetings with all program and project stakeholders to align on project scope, planning, and execution. The meeting frequency is dependent on complexity and timelines of project.
    • Engage internal stakeholders such as (but not limited to) Reliability Engineering, Asset Integrity Engineering, and Operations to gather potential scope included with each project. Compile comprehensive scope listing and work list to assemble a bid package for supply management to obtain competitive bids for this scope.
    • Support the Construction team as required by executing and directing key activities related to detailed planning and execution during the execution phase of each project.
    • Conduct field walks with Contractors for scope clarification and budget development in conjunction with Supply Management.
    • Collaborate and support the Scheduling and Planning team by reviewing, providing recommendations, and optimizing schedules to support the goals of the overall program.
    • Support program and Project Manager in the development of monthly stewardship reporting to report on program metrics such as cost and schedule.

    Your Skills:

    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working under limited supervision.
    • Detail-oriented.

    Your Experience:

    • Post secondary degree in Engineering, or Technical Diploma, in addition to a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
    • Minimum of 5-10 years experience in Heavy Industrial Construction, Maintenance or Refinery Turnaround Experience including estimating, planning, scheduling, and Contractor management.
