Job Summary:


The _Account Manager, Facility Sales_ performs activities designed to generate new revenue and solidify existing business, while developing relationships and overseeing the experience of Sensplex user groups to ensure their total satisfaction.

They act as a main point of contact for the primary stakeholders with each group.

They also assist the Director of Sales in managing and optimizing the inventory of hours of Capital Sports Management Inc.

(CSMI) facilities to ensure annual usage targets are met and exceeded.

This position will work closely with internal and external user groups and stakeholders to maximize the usage of all CSMI facilities (ice, field, meeting rooms, other).

Secondary sales responsibilities may include sales of advertising and sponsorship opportunities for CSMI facilities and its various programs.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Employ proactive sales methodologies designed to secure new business
  • Managing accounts for longterm success
  • Establishing good rapport with clients
  • Preparing facility sales reports
  • Tracking sales targets and adjusting course as necessary to ensure their achievement
  • Contract creation, payment processing, and client experience management
  • Accurately input bookings in reservation software
  • Interact with other CSMI departments (i.e. programs and operations) to aid with scheduling requirements and setup
  • Cultivates and maintains positive working relationships with staff and volunteers from partners and client sport organizations (association executive, ice schedulers, etc.)
  • Assist Director with optimization of facility schedules to ensure targets for facility utilization are met or exceeded
  • Limited sales responsibilities may include selling sponsorship opportunities for CSMI facilities and its various programs and managing advertiser/sponsor relationships (secondary to facility usage)
  • Responsible for following policies & procedures set out by the Senators Sports & Entertainment group of companies
  • Other duties as required by the Director, Sales and Senior Director, Revenue and Hockey Programs

Requirements:


  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an Asset
  • University Degree or College Diploma in a sport or businessrelated field
  • 2 3 years scheduling experience or previous sales experience with proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
  • Professional, courteous demeanor
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Able to work well independently and as a part of a team
  • Selfmotivated
  • Lateral thinker who can handle complex logistics and is detailoriented
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends as required
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
  • Capable of developing respectful and mutually beneficial business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understands ice sport operations (ie minor hockey associations, figure skating, etc)
  • Possesses advanced computer software skills
  • Must have own means of transportation
