As an Intermediate IT Administrator you will be the front lines of our IT team. Providing important technical support across all departments.

SALARY RANGE:
$
75,000-85,000/yr


HOURS:42.5 hours weekly


SUMMARY:

The Intermediate IT Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of IT-related tasks, including hardware and software setup, user account management, software licensing analysis, IT procedure documentation, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and database administration.

This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and configure hardware and software for new employees during the onboarding process.
  • Procure hardware based on user requirements and ensure proper setup and functionality.
  • Maintain user account permissions and access rights.
  • Assign licenses based on management requests and ensure all software is correctly licensed.
  • Forecast license needs by collaborating with HR and management.
  • Document IT procedures and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency in operations.
  • Provide initial troubleshooting of IT issues; repair or escalate as necessary.
  • Assist with system upgrades and implementation of new software and network solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Analyst to convert English language requirements into specific data fields and report layouts.
  • Build and test reports in cooperation with the accounting team.
  • Create SQL views as required by accounting staff for reporting purposes.
  • Administer and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Set user permissions to maintain security on SQL server.
  • Set up computer and user permissions and groups.
  • Edit/Create group policies as required to enhance security and efficiency.
  • Onboard handheld devices and tablets, set up profiles, and configure mobile apps.
  • Configure firewall settings and ensure device security through Microsoft Security Center.
  • Monitor device security vulnerabilities and mitigate them based on best practices.
  • Respond to and repair virus/malware incidents to maintain system integrity.
  • Maintain user accounts and set up/deploy phones for employees as needed.
  • Configure network ports and VLANs as required for endpoints and ensure network functionality.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot printer issues to ensure seamless printing capabilities for employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Sitting/Standing for extended periods
  • Periodic climbing (stairs/ladder/step stool)
  • Repetitive use of hands/wrists with light grasping
  • Occasional walking/twisting/bending and reaching above and below shoulder.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a positive influence for all employees.

  • Hardware maintenance, troubleshooting and/or cleaning as required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Some travel between company locations required.
  • Working predominantly within a 'normal' office environment.
  • Exposure to the manufacturing environment will be required including exposure to seasonal temperature changes, loud noises, and moving machinery.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when in the manufacturing facility to include but not limited to, safety glasses, steel toe foot protection, hearing protection, and hard hats.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support and administration.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SQL, and database administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and network configuration.
  • SAGE experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified and/or Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
  • Valid class 5 Drivers licence.
