Trebley Warehousing is expanding to a new location in the Dartmouth Crossing area and as such we are hiring.
Trebley Warehousing was established in 1953 and has been a leading third-party warehouse for over 60 years, providing services to clients from all over North America.
We specialize in storage and handling of products on behalf of our industry leading clients ranging from coffee beans to plywood to everything in between.
We are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Foreperson to join our team.The Warehouse Foreperson reports to the General Manager and works directly with Orders, Sales and the Warehouse team to co-ordinate both inflow and outflow of product and maintain accurate inventory records.
This person is also responsible for approving all receipts and pick tickets, increasing the accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of all shipping/warehousing related functions within the business.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead the warehouse team with a strong emphasis on safety, timesensitivity and accuracy
- Responsible for the overall operations of warehouse activities including the movement of international and domestic goods and the continuing efforts of improving warehouse efficiencies
- Develops and maintains warehouse organization and safety programs
- Manage the incoming and unloading of containers and trailers on a daily basis
- Prepares accurate documentation for receiving and shipping products.
- Responsible for the timely resolution of any shipping related issues that may occur
- Communicates with customers regarding any inconsistencies
- Oversees cost savings initiatives and shipment strategies
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years or more logistics/warehousing experience in a leadership role
- Experience with loading and unloading containers and trailers of various sizes
- Experience in developing procedures and policies directed towards ongoing improvement
- Formal (post secondary) education within the logistics field is an asset
- Familiarity with supply chain/logistics terms
- The ability to lead a large team

- You must be a doer, a problem solver and a person who is constantly searching for better
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
