Invasive Plant Management - Field Worker
3-5 month (June - October) depending on applicants (I will work with students not able to work in fall

1-2 positions depending on applicants


Location:

Various locations throughout British Columbia. Positions are available in Dawson Creek area. We do service some remote areas of British Columbia.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

• We are a smaller company that works throughout the province of BC in various locations. Crews are generally located in one area for the season, but we do service some remote areas, where we often camp and or utilize hotels/camps when possible. Core duties are surveying, treating and monitoring invasive plant populations._

Work can be physically demanding. We often work with back packs to treat weeds/general vegetation and or manually remove vegetation. At times due to weather or special circumstances, schedules and daily hours could vary. We pay above industry average wages, and pay over time. The weather and project location dictate our work schedule. We will work with the right person to help them gain any required certificates and or training. Applicants with experience and ability to operate with no supervision will be considered for crew leader positions.

The majority of our work load is from June to the end of August, but have positions from the end of May to the first of October.

Assets and Requirements:

• Industrial Vegetation and Noxious Weed applicator certificate (mandatory)
• Landscape applicator certificate
• Level 1 first aid

Class 5 drivers licence

• TDG provided
• WHIMIS provided
• Back ground in environmental/agricultural studies
• Operate ATV's, mowers/weed whackers/hand tools

Industry competitive wages


Salary:
$19.00-$25.00 per hour
