Job Description:


Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and Organizational Development, this position is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and monitoring organizational development and change initiatives at the local level and across geographies.

This position is also responsible to support the people strategy and build leadership capacity through a variety of talent management initiatives, including coaching, leadership development and succession, culture and engagement, and other interventions to enhance staff and leader capabilities.


MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Develops and manages systems and processes to support sustainable change management and organizational learning
  • Develops policies, procedures and tools to identify and address opportunities for improvement and enhance leadership development and capacity
  • Support the implementation of organizational initiatives through the use of organizational development interventions and quality improvement methodologies including; employee engagement, change management strategies, education & learning, team development, and leadership development (etc.)
  • Work with stakeholders to lead the Performance Planning cycle, including objective setting and performance cycle conclusion.
  • Support organization projects with Organizational development interventions linked to the annual business plan, people strategy and other key projects that touch on staff.
  • Develops and implements learning and development programs for HCCSS Central that respond to changing internal and external environments and aligns learning and development strategy with people strategies and organizational priorities and goals
  • Facilitates group processes and team development activities
  • Designs and implements specific interventions to build leadership capacity and management skills that enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Conducts needs analysis, research, design, development, delivery and evaluation of effective learning and development programs to improve the individual, team and organizational performance
  • Instills quality improvement and monitoring as an integral part of business activities
  • Develop and utilize assessment tools and metrics to evaluate initiatives from an organizational and individual perspective
Relationship Management

  • Coaches managers and employees regarding professional development
  • Establishes and sustains effective working relationships with managers and staff at all levels to facilitate quality improvement and organizational development
  • Develops and sustains positive working relationships with service providers to assist them in developing quality management and organizational development best practice
  • Provides support and works closely and collaboratively with the Senior Leadership team to determine and meet leadership needs by developing an effective leadership and coaching program.
  • Participates in internal committees, including provincial committees, working groups, and project groups
  • Provides advice and counsel to the management team and organization regarding areas for improvement and organizational development
Internal Coaching

  • Develop, implement and evaluate an organizational wide coaching program including individual coaching, and team coaching.
  • Leadership development through coaching to support personal and professional growth, based on the individual to help with change and transitions
  • Execution of coaching program in partnership with stakeholders including needs assessment, planning, design, delivery, learning transfer, evaluation and sustainability.
  • Work alongside individuals and teams to facilitate a change that will lead to their identified desired results: supporting movement from a current state to a more desired future state. Clearly contracted desired outcomes and action planning.
  • Facilitate the desired change through a structured process and provide tools and a context in which the desired change can be achieved. The impact of this change will be seen in learning, performance and ultimate fulfillment.
  • Evaluate individual, team outcomes and program effectiveness and share learnings broadly while upholding client/team confidentiality organizationally.
Leadership and Organization Development

  • Lead the Performance Planning cycle, including objective setting and performance year conclusion and the development of resources to support staff and leaders.
  • Execution of learning projects/initiatives in partnership with organizational stakeholders including needs assessment, planning, design, delivery, learning transfer, evaluation and sustainability.
  • Facilitation, coaching, advising, training, team building; at individual, team/group and organizational levels. Emphasis on delivery of group facilitation to support team effectiveness objectives. Sourcing of learning programs or external consultants/facilitators for individual, team/group and organizational levels.
