    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serves food according to individual diets and preferences.
    • Ensures proper portion control and safety precautions in assigned areas.
    • Operates equipment safely and documents temperatures as required.
    • Delivers catering to assigned locations and maintains food at proper serving temperature.
    • Assists cooks with meal preparation and cleaning duties.
    • Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, and work areas.
    • Participates in setting up catering events and stocks unit kitchenettes.
    • Attends facility meetings and completes assigned tasks.

    Requirements:

    • Successful completion of a Food Service Worker Program meeting Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act requirements.
    • Food Handlers Certification approved by the Public Health Department.
    • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
    • Able to perform moderate to heavy lifting and stand for long periods.
    • Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS) within 6 months.
