Nelson River Construction (NRC) is currently hiring a motivated Vactor Operator for their

Underground Division:
Sewer and Water Infrastructure.

The Position:

The Vactor Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vactor, which includes flushing and vacuum duties as well as Hydra Excavation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate the vactor truck and other equipment in a safe manner
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
Participate in toolbox talks
Follow directions from supervisors as to required work area
Willing to work overtime and out of town on occasion

Qualifications

2 years' experience within the Sewer and Water construction industry an asset
Valid class 3A driver's license
Experience with Mechanical and electronics
Ability to read and follow specifications as to the industry standards and troubleshoot if problems arise
Ability to work in outdoor setting which may include inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and dirt
Ability to work independently and as a team member
