The Manager, Sponsorships, TH, Canada will deliver Tim Hortons Sponsorship Strategy through programs and activation plans bringing to life through omni-channel marketing communication plans and full-funnel go-to-market strategies.

They will develop, lead and manage relationships with external stakeholders and cross functional internal teams to bring the strategy to life.

This position reports to the Director, Sponsorship, Hockey and Charitable programs.


Job Description:


  • Oversee all aspects of sponsorship project management, from strategic ideation to delivery, in collaboration with different agencies, internal teams and stakeholders
  • Lead Tim Hortons brand positioning and value proposition through Tims robust portfolio of sports and entertainment partnerships at the National, Regional, Local, Store and Digital in app level including the development and activation of sponsorship programs aligning to Tims sponsorship strategy.
  • Manage all sponsorship relationships including sports & entertainment properties, integrated agency team partners as well as crossfunctional relationships (i.e. Creative, media, DED, LED, and other signage, loyalty, brand, merchandising, operations etc.) to bring sponsorship programs to life
  • Ensure that Tim Hortons brand strategies, expression and standards are embedded within all Sponsorship programs (NHL, etc.)
  • Drive the identification of new program opportunities and assist with development of program execution from ideation to execution and post analysis.
  • Manage the review, assessment and contract negotiations for existing marketing sponsorships and new opportunities as they become available; assessment through qualitative and quantitative assessments to maximize our investments
  • Develop strategy and initiate execution to enhance digital footprint as it relates to sponsorship properties
  • Responsible for the development of performanceenabled sponsorship measurement tool for evaluating the effectiveness of all sponsorships; leverage YoY insights to drive program optimizations and support agile partner relations
  • Budget Forecasting and Maintenance: Invoice processing and accruals, forecasting, monthly balancing
  • Tracking and governance of all sponsorship assets
  • Leading national sponsorships event activation (Grey Cup, Heritage Classic and other such events)
Job Requirements

  • An Undergraduate Degree
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in sports management, account management or sponsorship role
  • Strong 360 project management ability
  • Positive attitude, tact, diplomacy, strong sense of collaboration, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working irregular hours on occasion
  • Experience in sponsorship marketing, agency or sport vendor experience required.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Passion for Sports and Sponsorships
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset
Position is based out of Toronto office, with travel as required
