Cut & Etch Quality Inspector
Job Summary
Ensure that all product is inspected and controlled to meet the requirements of Guelph Manufacturing Group Inc. and its customers.
As required, responsible for the metallographic inspection of all welded production assemblies.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Prepare samples for cut & etch with inhouse cutting equipment (cutting torch, plasma, chop saw etc.)
- Final cut preparation and sanding of samples for etching.
- Etching of parts with acidic solution.
- Analysis and assessment of parts with macroscopic equipment.
- Develop and maintain database of test results.
- Maintain adequate supply of required equipment consumables and spare parts
What are we looking for?
- Quality experience in a high pace automotive manufacturing environment
- Able to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and geometric dimensioning tolerance
- Computer literate with Microsoft word/excel
- Have welding knowledge through education or work experience
- Experience with using the plasma cutter an asset
- High level of organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Willing to complete formal training in the quality field
- Willing to complete weld acceptance training
