Meals On Wheels Coordinator - Lower Sackville, Canada - Northwoodcare Inc.
Description
Sackville-Bedford Meals on Wheels Society is seeking a highly responsible, compassionate, and organized Coordinator to help us provide hot, nutritious meals to community members who have difficulty preparing meals for themselves.
The Coordinator will work closely with our administrative assistant, kitchen staff, and volunteers to ensure that all our objectives are met, and our recipients' needs are fulfilled.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of the service
- Respond to inquiries about the service
- Complete intake process for new recipients
- Plan delivery routes and schedule volunteers/deliveries
- Complete all necessary incident forms and reports
- Prepare general reports monthly and annually
- Communicate with other community and service agencies
- Maintain relationships with volunteers, staff, and community
- Plan and organize events, especially Volunteer Appreciation events
- Promote the service, including posting regular social media and website updates
- Fundraise a minimum of $15,000 per year
- Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Highly responsible with completion of Grade 1
- Food safety certificate
- Valid driver's license with insured and wellmaintained vehicle
- Cleared criminal and vulnerable sector check
- Proficiency in Microsoft office 365 programs and internet navigation & maintenance
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have the ability to multitask with exceptional organizational skills
- Flexible and willing to learn and accommodate unforeseen events
- Value and demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and relationship building
- Must maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Preferred qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized business program or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working for a nonprofit organization
- Experience working with seniors/vulnerable populations
- Accounting software training or a willingness to learn
- Experience with Accounts Receivable
- Fundraising/marketing experience
- Willingness to take initiative and show creativity with the development of fundraising events
Free parking at the hospital (our office location) and a car allowance will also be offered directly from SBMOW.

Salary:
$19.74-$22.21 per hour
