Observing methods of food preparation; feel, taste, and smell prepared dishes, view colors, textures, and garnishments and informing subordinates of necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards and presentation.
Communicating with Chef de Partie as per requirements and production schedules.
Ensuring correct and timely distribution of food or product to required location.
Rotating all items in refrigerators to minimize spoilage and prevent waste.
Ensuring that all areas in the kitchen are always kept clean and tidy.
Grade 10 education.
Minimum 4 years of experience in cooking.
Able to carry 50 lbs.
Excellent and up to date culinary knowledge with a welldeveloped sense of taste and smell
A commitment to quality and organization.
An ability to work well both independently and within a collaborative team environment with the flexibility to change with new ideas that are introduced.
An ability to work shift work, daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
