Position:
News Writer, TV and Digital Content, Bell Media

Location:
CTV News, Vancouver BC

Hours of Work:40 hours per week. Must work every Saturday and Sunday plus three weekdays; additional overtime hours as required.

You must have:

A track record of producing compelling content for TV, radio or online
The vision to help build engaging and exciting newscasts
A history of successful newsroom collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

Help research, chase and write daily content for TV newscasts
Assist in video editing daily news
Package and publish content to the CTV News website
Post stories to multiple social media streams

Critical Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year newsroom experience (TV, radio or digital)
Journalism Diploma or Degree
Excellent news writing ability and copy editing experience
Proven ability to work with a team under high stress situations
Relevant webbased news editing and reporting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Indepth knowledge of the Lower Mainland and British Columbia current affairs
Experience using INews
Experience with Content Management Systems including Polopoly
Adobe desktop video editing and Photoshop ability
