What you'll do


This is a highly visible role across the organization that will challenge your ability to work with ambiguity, manage large amounts of data, turn insights into action, and make strong connections with business leaders.

You will be working independently with category business managers, building relationships and interpreting category, brand, and vendor strategies and their impact on price.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement new or existing frameworks that improve our customer's price perception, while maximizing our categories profitability.

In this role, you'll work across a team of high performing individuals looking to make an impact at Canadian Tire.


  • Work closely with Senior Analyst and 3rd party Competitive Intelligence service providers to grow and optimize our competitive intelligence data set
  • Proactively manage competitive data by analyzing and reporting on Price Competitiveness to achieve Operational Targets (i.e. margin requirements) and drive positive price perception and customer value
  • Collaborate with Pricing Specialists to ensure accurate and timely execution of operational tasks supporting various crossfunctional teams.
  • Understand competitive webscraping data to identify, communicate, and resolve data anomalies to uphold integrity in competitive index reporting and dynamic pricing
  • Leverage Enterprise data via Thoughtspot/MS Access/KNIME to conduct business analysis in support of Merchandising requirements and Pricing Strategic objectives
  • Collaborate xfunctionally with teams across the organization to support and enhance strategic Pricing Team tools and processes

What you bring

  • 13 years' experience in an analytical role
  • Solid communication skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge/experience with ThoughtSpot or KNIME (or SQL) considered an asset
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced business environment
  • Merchandising and/or retail experience is an asset
