KSM is currently expanding its roster of instructors in the city of Toronto On, to scale with the number of students we are taking in.

Therefore, we are looking for well qualified piano instructors with at least a year of experience teaching privately or with a school/institution.

All of our teachers come from fairly varied educational backgrounds and each brings to bare their own approach to pedagogy so we encourage and allow each of our instructors to design and implement lesson plans according to what they feel is best for their students.

There is a great degree of freedom in designing lesson plans as well as scheduling.

The school takes on all marketing and administrative responsibilities. We introduce our instructors to their community directly through our personalized marketing campaigns, instead of marketing just the school. This allows families and students to choose exactly who they feel is the best fit for them. This leaves our teachers free to focus only on teaching their lessons to the best of their abilities.


The vast majority of our students take their lessons at their homes, so we are looking for professional and courteous instructors who have reliable access to a vehicle (not only public transport).


Responsibilities and Duties


To give private piano lessons, usually at their students' homes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes (or longer in some cases).

To create and implement a long term lesson plan that is aligned with the student's goals and aspirations.

To foster a creative and open working environment that walks the line between friendly and firm.


To keep the parents (if the students are younger than 18) updated with regard to the student's progress and plans moving forward.

To submit a monthly breakdown of lessons taught, so that the school may deposit payment to their teachers.


Qualifications and Skills


We look for teachers with a warm but firm approach to their lessons, who are adaptable and able to accommodate various goals of their students, anything from playing for leisure to exam, competition or audition preparation.


Qualifications must include at least 1 year of teaching experience and certification(s) from a University in music or University level institutions such as RCM, Trinity, ABRSM etc.
