Description

We are looking for a Cylinder Operator for our Edmonton plant
This is a full time permanent position.


This position consists in testing and maintaining cylinders in a safe manner in order to satisfy customer expectations and improve quality of operations, while promoting Air Liquide's quality, safety and environmental objectives.


Main responsibilities:

Assesses cylinders for testing: Operating valving/devalving equipment, Using borescope to inspect the interior. Operation of shot blast equipment, operation of painting equipment. Strong understanding of cylinder sorting requirements is an asset.

Ensures cylinders maintenance: Install valves. Replaces defective safeties, stems, packing nuts and handles on cylinder valves. Prepares cylinders for shot blasting by scraping of decals. Inspects cylinders that have been shot blasted and segregates damaged cylinders for repair.

Quality / Safety: Understands and implements required procedures (Standard Operating Instructions) as established in the relevant Quality Manual (TRM). Verifies equipment for accuracy with calibrated cylinder and pressure gauge daily.

Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the work process.
