JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:


  • Create and/or edit business documentation for technology development, project management and manufacturing/service operations processes
  • Research information, write, edit, and proofread procedures within the established time frames
  • Identify key constituents and interview them to obtain related information
  • Work collaboratively with technical team members to secure the information required to create or edit documentation
  • Use source material where it exists and combine it with new information to ensure that process documents are current
  • Ensure the clarity, completeness, technical accuracy and quality of the information and submit documents for review
  • Review markups and redlines prepared by other department members to ensure editorial and technical quality
  • Ensure completed procedures are approved by required authoritative bodies and delivered in an accurate and complete manner for release and distribution

Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Must be assertive in order to secure required information within required deadlines
  • Selfmotivated, flexible team member who is well suited for a fastpaced environment with aggressive deadlines
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Has the ability to work well as a new member within a team
  • Skilled at organizing information into a clear, concise written form
  • Strong working knowledge of editing, proofreading, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Ability to rapidly absorb technical information and to express complex engineering processes effectively in written form
  • Demonstrated experience in Value Stream Mapping and flowcharting techniques
  • Ability to adhere to a formal style guide and standardized templates
  • Bachelor's degree in English or Technical Communication, or equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Immediate advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio and Adobe Acrobat and Distiller
  • Experience working in an ISO Standards centric environment (9001, 9100, 14000 etc.) preferred
  • Must have experience working in a hightech, new product development and introduction environment
