The Consumer Platforms portfolio is a fast moving, innovative portfolio that supports the healthcare journey of millions of Canadians and as such, LIfeLabs is searching for an agile and innovative Marketing Manager to raise the bar of strategic marketing for the portfolio.


The Marketing Manager, Consumer Platforms leads the creation and management of a robust marketing strategy designed to attract and engage various target audiences to enable the specific goals of the portfolio which includes MyCareCompass, the LifeLabs eCommerce store and the Health Assessment.


The successful applicant is highly knowledgeable on digital marketing best practices and will have rich experience delivering both digital and offline campaigns.

They are comfortable and confident in their ability to work with key stakeholders to design, present and manage the appropriate campaigns and channels in order to optimize marketing ROI.

Experience building strong customer engagement, deepening customer relationships/repeat visits and customer retention strategy is a valuable asset.


Reporting to the Director, Marketing, and work closely with the platform managers, digital marketing team, and business/customer intelligence, the Marketing Manager is accountable to all product marketing needs including the budgeting, planning, execution and post mortem analysis and insights.

A strong aptitude in project management is strongly desired.


Accountabilities:


Content & Market Plan Development

  • Develop content and strategic marketing plans based on specific customer segments, working with Subject Matter Experts
  • Identify, assist, develop, or evaluate marketing strategy that aligns with the objectives, market characteristics, target market and economics of each of the assigned portfolios. Formulate, direct, or coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote products or services.

Budget Management:


  • Oversee the accurate recording, tracking and management of respective budgeting for applicable product portfolios
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget for the assigned portfolio
  • Analyze financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget
  • Review budget requests for approval
  • Forecast future budget needs
  • Invoice approvals
  • Point of contact for internal stakeholders on budget allocation

Generating quality traffic to the LifeLabs Store

  • Working with the Platform Manager to generate quality traffic to the site
  • Continuous optimization of the marketing plans to ensure that the campaigns are delivering traffic with purchase intent
  • Utilize data and insights to provide a new innovative marketing solutions that deliver the platform goals

Deepening Customer Engagement

  • Leverage full marketing toolkit to attract new users to the MyCareCompass platform
  • Deepen the relationship through repeat visits and the promotion of new features
  • Promoting and securing customer engagement in the Health Assessment
  • With direction from the Platform Manager and the Marketing team, manage the owned marketing assets on the platform

Market and Industry Awareness

  • Under the direction of the platform Managers and Director, Marketing, help develop positioning strategies for the assigned portfolio by understanding competitive market conditions and product value to customers.
  • Determine industry trends by working with the Business and Customer Insights teams
  • Monthly review of competitive activity: News releases, advertising, conference attendance, educational events (seminars/webinars), promotions

Required Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related required
  • MBA would be preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in marketing, predominately focused on customer engagement, eCommerce, and/or Customer retention
  • Experience in scientific/medical/pharmaceutical/healthcare diagnostics Marketing Role (asset)
