Lassonde Beverages Canada Plant
Lassonde Industries Inc. develops, manufactures and markets an innovative and distinctive line of fruit and vegetable juices and drinks.


Our brands include:
Oasis, Fairlee, Allen's, Fruite, Rougemont as well as specialty food products.

We are a small unionized plant of 150 employees that work together as a team to achieve great success.


Summary:

We currently have a job opening for a Janitor. The position will be reporting to our production supervisors.

They will be responsible for performing janitorial duties, while maintaining a clean and orderly environment in both the plant and office facilities.


Key Activities:


  • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.) as per cleaning schedule.
  • Collect and dispose of all garbage and recycling.
  • Complete an inventory of cleaning products once a week. Collaborate with Purchaser when supplies are needed.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • In the winter, clean snow from walkways and spread salt to deice the area.
  • Perform and document routine inspection.
  • Follow all health and safety and GMP regulation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of chemical storage area and assist forklift operator/production staff in organizing the same.
  • Upon supervisor's request assist production staff to run the machine during lunch/breaks.

Education & experience required:


  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • Previous work experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry (an asset).
  • Safe food handling procedures.

Competencies:


  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stand for long periods of time and experience working in a fast paced environment with repetitive tasks.
