Lassonde Industries Inc. develops, manufactures and markets an innovative and distinctive line of fruit and vegetable juices and drinks.

We are a small unionized plant of 150 employees that work together as a team to achieve great success.

Summary:

We currently have a job opening for a Janitor. The position will be reporting to our production supervisors.

They will be responsible for performing janitorial duties, while maintaining a clean and orderly environment in both the plant and office facilities.

Key Activities:

Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.) as per cleaning schedule.
Collect and dispose of all garbage and recycling.
Complete an inventory of cleaning products once a week. Collaborate with Purchaser when supplies are needed.
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
In the winter, clean snow from walkways and spread salt to deice the area.
Perform and document routine inspection.
Follow all health and safety and GMP regulation.
Maintain cleanliness of chemical storage area and assist forklift operator/production staff in organizing the same.
Upon supervisor's request assist production staff to run the machine during lunch/breaks.

Education & experience required:

Minimum high school diploma.
Previous work experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry (an asset).
Safe food handling procedures.

Competencies:

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, stand for long periods of time and experience working in a fast paced environment with repetitive tasks.
