Outside Sales Representative - Acheson, AB

Territory:


Northern Alberta, Northern Saskatchewan, and Northeastern British Columbia.


Westvac Industrial Ltd is looking for a driven, fulltime Outside Sales Representative based out of our Acheson Head Office location.


This position would be responsible for selling equipment in our Fleet Division and Fire Divisions throughout the province of Alberta.

This equipment includes Hydrovacs, Street Sweepers, Garbage Trucks, Tractors, Sewer Camera Inspection Systems, Fire Apparatus, Fire suppression equipment, and more.


Working out of our head office based in Acheson, within an already established territory, the opportunity is perfect for a highly motivated, results-driven individual.

For this role, the ideal sales representative would have the ambition to further grow and build on the company's success while professionally representing our well-known product lines to municipal and industrial customers.


Role Requirements for Success:


  • 35 years of equipment sales experience
  • Effective mechanical and technical aptitude is a necessity
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and Outlook
  • Clean driving record and abstract
  • Ability to drive with a trailer is a must
  • Class 3 license would be preferred
  • Willingness to travel with a good understanding of logistics
  • Trustworthy with company expenses
  • Positive attitude with the ability to selfmotivate
  • Detail orientated individual with the ability to effectively selfschedule
  • Distinct understanding of an organization's buying process
  • Strong math skills that will assist in preparing quotes
  • Experience with CDK software would be an asset

Salesperson Responsibilities:


  • Representing and selling a various assortment of product lines throughout an abundance of manufacturers.
  • Working with existing customer to further strengthen relationships
  • Prospecting new customers
  • Demonstrating/Operating equipment
  • Coordinating and working with our parts & service departments
  • Working with distribution networks and sales forces
  • Completing sales calls into our CDK software system
  • Working with municipal customers to provide equipment specifications for tenders
  • Working with administration to complete and submit tender/bid submissions
  • Actively submitting forecasts and working with senior management
  • Working with manufacturers
  • Travelling throughout the sales territory
  • Prepare presentations and quotes for potential customers
  • Deliver and train customers on sold equipment
  • Submit expense reports
  • Consistently maintain a driver's log
