    Description
    We are looking for a Senior Planner and Scheduler for a 1-year contract position , with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

    Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

    Role Summary
    The Senior Planner/ Scheduler will report directly into the Program Operations team and will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of a major program, containing multiple workstreams. The Ideal candidate would have the experience and ability to plan, develop and maintain project schedules.

    Responsibilities
  • Support and ensure standardization of Planning & Scheduling deliverables and processes across all workstreams to achieve efficiencies within the group.
  • Develop Level I, II, III & IV Integrated Project Schedules in consultation with the Project Operations Manager and Workstream Managers.
  • Assist Program in preparation of WBS. Maintain and communicate any changes to the WBS to impacted stakeholders in coordination with Cost Control.
  • Integrate schedules of Workstreams, System Integrators and establish logical work sequences to fit priorities identified by execution strategy.
  • Perform quantity and manpower resource loading & forecasting.
  • Review schedule data, identify and acquire information needed to complete work logic to interface among all Workstream stakeholders.
  • Establish baseline development to serve as a reference point for measuring progress and tracking deviations.
  • Ensure all schedule changes handled through change management system in line with Project Controls procedures.
  • Create and present schedule basis document for all assigned integrated schedules.
  • Perform Critical Path analysis and identify and report activities which have critical or potentially critical impact on schedule.
  • Conduct "what-if" scenarios to assist COLT to explore recovery plans and contingency planning.
  • Coordinate in developing planning/scheduling related procedures and report templates in Primavera.
  • Conduct quantitative schedule risk analysis as required.
  • With Project Operations Manager, establish and implement tools and methods for determining progress monitoring and measurement.
  • Consolidate progress and performance measurement for the program from the Workstreams.
  • Support Project Operations in monitoring of vendor (system integrator) actual progress versus planned progress and key performance indicators, provide exception reporting, and recommend actions.
  • Monitor Integrated Schedule interfaces and identify potential problems and provide recommendations to project managers.
  • Prepare overall project schedule progress reports such as Schedule Float Analysis, Variance reports, Progress and Performance reports.
  • Coordinate the schedule interface between all groups as well as identify problems and make recommendations to project managers.
  • Ensure schedules are resource loaded
  • Experience and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience working within the Oil and Gas / Energy Industry.
  • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of Primavera and scheduling.
  • Minimum 15 years of P6 experience.
  • Large IT SDLC / SAP Implementation experience preferred.
