WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • The Registered Social Worker (RSW) provides services to children, adolescents, and transitional age adults manifesting an eating disorder, along with their families/supports within our Outpatient Eating Disorder Program including the Day Treatment Program
  • The RSW has the clinical skill and experience to assess, plan, coordinate and provide treatment and support services to child and adult patients, along with their families/supports.
  • The Registered Social Worker functions as an interprofessional team member, providing a range of clinical services, including assessment, group, individual, couple and or family therapy where indicated, as well as community liaison and collateral work regarding clients.
  • The RSW role models professional and organizational core competencies

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:


  • Masters level in Social Work or equivalent with at least 5 years' experience and ability in the provision evidencebased and/or manualized individual and group therapy in a mental health setting
  • Registration with the appropriate College or professional association. Membership with Eating Disordersrelated provincial or national level programs preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent and relevant experience, with specific experience (or demonstrated interest) working in an Outpatient Eating Disorder Program

WHO YOU ARE:


  • Knowledge and experience (or willingness to acquire) in current evidencebased eating disorder assessment and treatment methods including: Family Based Treatment, CBT, CBT-E, DBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and group therapy.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a familycentred / systemic treatment orientation.
  • Demonstrated collaborative working relationship with interprofessional team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly in an interprofessional team setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Models both professional and organizational core competencies.
  • Complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
