- Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Architectural Technologies program.
- Design and implement a student-centered learning environment using an outcome-based approach in either a face-to-face or online delivery mode.
- Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations using principles of adult learning.
- Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed.
- Use digital tools proficiently, including general office applications.
- Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods.
- Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
- Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
- Be responsive to accommodation of special learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
- Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.
- Mentor students related to educational opportunities, industry expectations, and career goals.

- Attend program and school meetings. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or related field (i.e. Interior Design).
- Member of or eligible for membership/certification with IDAS, SAA, APEGS or SASTT, at an A.Sc.T. level, as applicable.
- Five years' of experience, 2 years of which are recent/relevant in the related industry.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral).
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Effective instructional ability.
- Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of drafting software, graphic or visualization software, the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
- Ability to work as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
