WHAT TO EXPECT:
The Mechanical Project Manager will develop and take charge of various mechanical projects.
He/she will be responsible for the complete realization of the projects, from the selection of materials to be used, the creation of the concept, the internal training until the implementation of the project.
Here's an overview of your tasks:
- Take ownership, coordinate and manage all stages of projects from bid to customer satisfaction (internal and external)
- Ensure communication between suppliers and the company
- Carry out studies, research, analysis, supplier searches, etc. for specific work required for its projects
- Deploy specific work to the various trades and ensure the proper execution of tasks
- Create concepts and approve them through research and calculations
- Design and draw mechanical projects using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software
- Act as an expert in providing technical advice to employees for continuous improvement
- Research the cause of mechanical failures
- Provide expertise on mechanical concepts to the OHS committee
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with two (2) years of relevant experience, or a DEC in mechanical engineering with five (5) years of relevant experience
- Experience in the rubber industry (asset)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks software
- Autonomy, the person is able to take charge of complete projects and ensure their followup
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to employees
- Demonstrate leadership in the management of work
- Ability to speak and read English (3/5)
