**We are excited to be recruiting for a Hotel Front Desk Supervisor for our beautiful property, Inn at the Forks.

This is a full-time position, and the hours will be days, evenings, and weekends, depending on hotel business levels and staffing levels.


Inn at the Forks is a sleek and stylish hotel set in The Forks historic site with guest rooms that feature a modern design, and some suites have waterfront views.

SMITH is a contemporary restaurant featuring locally sourced ingredients, and Riverstone Spa is a full-service spa, both located within the hotel.


Position Summary:


  • The Front Desk Supervisor will have excellent communication skills with both staff and guests and will be an effective leader of superior guest service, technicalities of the position and be able to demonstrate efficiency and accuracy when handling administrative responsibilities. The Front Desk Supervisor should have a good working knowledge of the hotel industry and be proactive in seeking out potential problems, staffing or guest concerns and provide effective solutions to benefit the hotel and its guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:


The Front Desk Supervisor will be able to carry out all the duties of the Front Desk Agents and Night Auditors.

This is a position where the Supervisor is scheduled as part of the Front Desk team.


Administrative:

Assist in documenting staff growth, areas of weakness, service skills and incentive program progress.

Assist in new hire orientation and training.


Monitor reservations and requests, package and enhancement bookings ensuring all necessary steps are taken, and supplies needed are ordered or on hand.

Updated FOM & AFOM weekly on supplies for FD, keys, key wallets, gift cards for packages etc.

Be proficient in reservations, A/R, billing inquiries and routing set up.


Staff Supervision:

Be the primary supervisory/support figure in the absence of the FOM & AFOM

Assist in monitoring staff development, training, ongoing shift training/support, staff incentive programs, staff issues and concerns, and daily task completion on shift

Assist AFOM in training of new employees at Front Desk


Leadership:

Demonstrate and encourage empowerment during daily shifts

Assist the AFOM in creation of staff meeting agenda, or determining areas of team strengths/weakness.


Education and Training:

Any certifications or degrees in Hospitality or Customer Service are an asset.

Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills


Experience:

Previous Hotel Front Desk Supervisory experience is preferred.


Working Conditions:

Various shifts including short notice schedule changes, as well as being prepared to work to Evenings, Weekends & Holidays
