What can you expect to do as a Field Technician within our SUE Group?

Complete investigations in the field, accurately mapping the alignment of various underground utilities (water, gas, hydro, telecom, etc.). You will have the
BEST equipment available in the industry including but not limited to; cable locate equipment, ground penetrating radar, GPS survey, Sondes, Lidar, Vacuum Excavation and other measuring devices.
Gather other important utility related information which includes surveying utility related surface features, chamber investigations/measurements, aerial inventories and condition assessment.
Oversee the operation of subcontractors onsite
Ensure optimum usage and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
Troubleshoot/coordinate and effectively communicate with engineers, project managers and directors to ensure optimal client satisfaction
Complete detailed accurate daily reports, forms and field sketches, both electronically and by hand
Perform duties such as maintenance of traffic, making basic field measurements and performing other geophysical prospecting

What you bring to the position:

Ability to work 10 hour shifts, 5 days a week (overtime paid after 44 hours)
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Availability to work days/nights as needed
Team player with a positive attitude and able to work well under pressure
Willing to work in various weather conditions with the availability to travel as needed
Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot
Able to walk frequently on uneven surfaces and lift approximately 50 pounds
