    Summary
    The Ottawa Titans are looking for a dedicated and reliable Athletic Therapist to oversee the day-to-day care and treatment of Titans players. The Athletic Therapist reports directly to the General Manager and On-Field Manager. The Athletic Therapist role is seasonal, beginning at the end of April and working until the final game of the season, including playoffs. The Athletic Therapist will remain employed until the final Titans game of the year. The Athletic Therapist is expected to travel with the team on the road and be available for all Titans games during the season.

    Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
    • Provide quality comprehensive care for athletes through prevention, evaluation, care, and treatment of injuries and illnesses and assist with injury rehabilitation.
    • Screening and referral of athletes to team physicians when appropriate.
    • Serve as the athletic trainer for the baseball team including practice and game coverage as well as team travel.
    • Compile and maintain injury and treatment documentation for the team.
    • Supervision and daily operation of the baseball athletic training room.
    • Assist with establishing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring athletic training services to all baseball players.
    • Communicate with coaches and athletic department staff on various issues, including the Sports Medicine Department policies and procedures, athlete status, restrictions, treatment, appointment compliance, and progress.
    • Assist and coordinate with the team physician and staff with the operation of the training facility.
    • Assist with upkeep of the facilities, emergency equipment, and modalities.

    Requirements
    • Canadian citizenship/residency or valid work permit
    • Ability to travel into the U.S. with the team.
    • Degree related to Athletic Therapy
    • Previous experience as Assistant/Intern Athletic Therapist with a reputable sports entity
    • Certified Athletic Therapist
