About This Opportunity:

Masstown Collaborative Family Practice is a brand new Nova Scotia Health turn-key clinic.

Co-located with a pharmacy, next door to a Tim Hortons, and across the road from the famous Masstown Market, this new clinic is in an excellent location to serve its patients.


Masstown Collaborative is seeking a family physician to join this Collaborative Team consisting of nurse practitioners, family practice nurse, and admin.

This is a full scope practice providing care for patients at all stages of life. The clinic is fully integrated on the MedAccess EMR System.


Responsibilities:


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention

Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners'

Act as a patient's advocate

Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations

Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements


Expected Hours:

Full Time, or Part-time available
37.5 hours a week (full time)
46 weeks a year


Qualifications:

Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)

Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)

Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
