Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation and Control Technician to join our team at Harmac Pacific Pulp Mill.
This position comes under a Labour Agreement with the PPWC Local #8 union and is scheduled on a 4-day/10-hour per day work week.
Key Responsibilities:
- DCS programming and troubleshooting
- Field device troubleshooting, repair, calibration and installation
- Control valve troubleshooting and repair
- Perform routine calibrations following our ISO 9001/14001 standards and procedures
- Support Operations with process troubleshooting
- Providing shift relief and coverage for the 24hr crews
Qualifications:
- Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation Control Technician
- DCS Programming experience (Foxboro & DeltaV)
- 5+ years of instrument maintenance experience
- Ability to do shift work
- Must be physically capable of carrying out job requirements.
- Previous experience in pulp and paper or other manufacturing industries would be considered a strong asset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating seamless collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
