Job Title:
Food & Beverage Analyst & Cost Controller


Reports to:
CFO, Managing Director & Director of Food & Beverage


Job Overview:


The Food & Beverage Operations Cost Controller position requires previous experience in F&B or Accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Office and must be extremely detail-oriented.


Essential Job Functions:


  • To ensure timely and accurate completion of month end accounting process for F&B. The Controller will coordinate, initiate, prepare, process, and monitor various financial, administrative and operation forms and reports.
  • Provide the CFO and Directors with accurate reporting, as well as adhoc analysis.
  • Responsible and proficient at all aspects of the F&B inventory control programs
  • Enter and receive all noninventory invoices into assigned program for payment.
  • Keep all invoices organized and maintain electronic filing for a period of 1 year.
  • Track all F&B invoices from receiving to final check payment while acting as the F&B advocate for final reconciliation with all vendors.
  • Work directly with Directors to coordinate capital projects, tracking and contractor payment.
  • Lead all aspects of monthly inventory counts and the month end process.
  • Ensure monthly transfer process is prompt and accurate.
  • Ensure biweekly payroll is approved and posted
  • Make sure invoices not posted by the end of the month are accrued and work with finance to make sure this happens monthly.
  • Attend team meetings, as required.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:

  • High School diploma or GED; college preferred
  • Must have previous Food and Beverage or Accounting experience; prefer management experience
  • Basic understanding of accounting functions required
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Must have general Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) proficiency
  • Be extremely organized and detailoriented
  • Must interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, coworkers and management consistent with Club Versante service standards

Physical Requirements:


  • A large portion of this job will be computer work
  • This role will require occasional participation in the movement of product lifting boxes of up to 50 lbs to shoulder height

Requirements for Success

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Capability to teach and mentor others
  • Currently resides in the Lower Mainland
  • Permitted to work in Canada
