The Ministry of Children and Family Development's Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) teams located across B.C.

provide a range of mental health assessment and treatment options for children and youth (0-18 years of age) and their families at no cost.

Our clinics are staffed by mental health clinicians, psychologists, and psychiatrists.


The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre, a facility part of CYMH Provincial Services is a designated provincial mental health facility providing residential, non-residential, and outreach services to collaboratively support youth, families and communities.

Our mental health services are designed to support children and youth who experience significant difficulties related to their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

The Connect Attachment Programs Supervisor facilitates the Connect Attachment Program at the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. They provide training and direct clinical supervision to facilitators-in-training as well as identifies and addresses clinical issues.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent disciplines (e.g. Criminology).

NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). Confirmation for equivalency for your degree is required for you to be considered.

  • Experience in supervision of therapeutic group leaders;
  • Experience in Training others in clinical concepts and principals.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in supervision of Connect Attachment Programs (including Attachment Parent Groups).
  • Experience in Training Connect Attachment Programs (including Attachment Parent Groups).
  • Certified to deliver Connect Attachment Programs modalities and the minimum completion of at least 3 groups.

Willingness Statements:


  • Must possess and maintain a valid BC class 5 driver's license

Note:

if you currently have a valid driver's license in Canada, and if you are the successful applicant, you must acquire a valid class 5 BC driver's license immediately.


  • May be required to use own vehicle, with appropriate insurance coverage, on an expense account basis.
  • You will be required to travel regularly, often into remote areas of the province of BC on an overnight basis.
  • May be required to work flexible hours including evening/weekends.

About this Position:

There are two (2) positions available. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

These positions have full time on-site requirements.
