Aluminum Window Designs, a member of The Window Design Group, was established in 1991 to fabricate commercial and residential thermally aluminum window products for high-rise new construction and the renovation industry.


Thanks to our on-going marketplace research, AWD products can be custom-designed to meet supplied specifications on a per project basis.


Our wide range of products includes:

thermal aluminum windows and window wall systems, swing doors, sliding balcony doors, and steel insulated aluminum framed doors, the Euro Door, aluminum glass balcony doors, sliding, awning and casement windows.

AWD also manufactures insulated glass and insulated panels used in its windows.

In collaboration with the managers, general laborer's and the shipping supervisor, the
Shipping/Receiving Coordinator plans and organizes the deliveries to multiple construction sites ensuring that the necessary material arrives for the completion of the project.


Duties and responsibilities
Ensure trucks are loaded accordingly with material required

Ship and Receive glass

Keeping accurate records of what is being received and shipped

Coordinate the Deliveries to site

Prepares material for delivery - Hardware - screws bolts, epoxy etc.

Creates schedule for shipping in collaboration with the shipping supervisor

Organize and plan the schedule in advance in relation to inventory to be shipped

Provides updates to project managers

*Must have reliable means of transportation to attend to various construction sites in Toronto and GTA periodically*
Health & Safety

  • Actively work to eliminate hazards that may cause injury
  • Ensure the safest working environment possible by eliminating/minimizing hazards
  • Review, analyze and make recommendations regarding safety, environmental performance, quality, productivity, and customer feedback
  • Ensure Health & Safety policy and procedures are met

Qualifications

  • College/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience
  • 25 years manufacturing (Shipping/Receiving)
  • Valid Forklift License and experience preferred
  • Experience with Glass Handling preferred
  • Window Manufacturing experience an asset
  • Highly motivated and selfdirected
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industrial safety requirements

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
