- Experience or knowledge in the operations of public recreation facilities
- Training and experience in computerized work environment with high level of knowledge in MS Office
- Valid B.C Drivers' License and safe driving record
- Standard First Aid, CPR-level C, AED
- Satisfactory Criminal Record

REGIONAL RECREATION PROGRAMMER

This position is primarily based out of the Nelson & District Community Complex.
The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is inviting applications for a Regional Recreation Programmer position.
The Regional Recreation Programmer is responsible for planning, organizing and maintaining recreation programs, activities, training, events & volunteer opportunities which are delivered in a variety of parks and facilities across the RDCK.
The Programmer works collaboratively with facility staff & community groups. This position requires a high level of creativity, innovation and flexibility in order to develop recreation opportunities which support service goals of the RDCK & meet the needs of individuals & the community.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a full-time term position of 35 hours per week and offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation time, extended health and dental coverage and a generous pension plan. The normal hourly rate is $40.60 but ranges between $38.84- $44.13 per hour, dependent on experience.
