SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sr.

Manager, Cost Management, this position will be primarily responsible for analysis of standard part costs, inventory, CAPEX and cost reduction initiatives, including month end reporting and forecasting.

The position will primarily focus on the Landing Gear product stream. The hybrid position will be based in Oakville.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Perform standard cost rolls and analyses of materials standard costs and other inputs to the bill of materials; present data to Finance and Operations, including insight on potential corrective actions and forecasting compared to Plan.

Cost rolls and other updates for part transitions and offloading changes.


Liaise with Supply Chain on matters relating to part costs, supplier non-standard charges, escalations, supplier chargebacks, supplier cost analysis, and other.


Partner with Supply Chain & Operations teams to improve SIOP, optimize inventory, minimize E&O & scrap by conducting monthly financial reviews.

Coordinate E&O and aged WIP reserve analysis, physical inventory process and SOX documentation.

Perform various month end activities, including journal entries, HFM fixed asset schedules, restructuring reporting, to tight deadlines.

Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts.

Process entries related to restructuring projects.

Financial reporting of capital, depreciation, inventory, and cost reduction.

Support preparers of capital appropriation requests with financial analysis and capital process guidance.

Support month-end, forecasting and planning of capital plans.

Support Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.

Perform other duties as required.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required; an MBA or CPA is strongly desired.

Prior experience in a manufacturing accounting environment an advantage.

Requires excellent general and cost accounting skills.

Demonstrates high level of self-initiative and a bias for action.

Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.

Comfortable around higher management; interacts well at that level

Ability to support and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Maintains responsibility and accountability for entire task/project.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products required.

Proficiency with an ERP system required, SAP preferred.

Ability to work as a team member with mínimal supervision required.

Ability to identify and analyze problems and to exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions.

Ability to evaluate his/her work and exercise judgment.

Able to address problems with multiple variables and unknown solutions. Has clear, well thought out logic in proposed approach/solution.

TRAVEL
Must be available to travel up to 10% to Landing Systems sites within North America.
