The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in placing, tying, and installing reinforcing steel according to drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, cutting and bending rebar, tying vertical and horizontal steel, installing dowels and embeds, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Applicants must be physically fit, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced construction setting. Fall protection and relevant safety certifications are considered an asset. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installer to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various installation processes, including concrete forming, masonry, flooring, and restoration. This role requires proficiency with hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading, and heavy equipment operation. The Installer will be responsible for executing diverse projects that demand precision, safety awareness, and technical expertise to ensure high-quality results in both new construction and renovation settings.
Responsibilities
- Install rebar, concrete forms, flooring, and masonry components according to schematics and blueprints
- Operate heavy equipment safely to assist with lifting and positioning materials
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks such as caulking, concrete finishing, and restoration work
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation procedures
- Perform welding and other fabrication tasks as needed for custom installations
- Assist in renovation projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new installations
- Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet safety standards and project specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment
Experience
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with skills in concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, or flooring installation
- Mechanical knowledge including heavy equipment operation and welding is preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential for precise execution of plans
- Experience with restoration projects or renovation work is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment required for installation tasks
