OPERATIONS AGENT Summer Intern

During the course of the work term you agree that you will be working from a remote / home office location in Canada in accordance with any applicable RBC policy. You have the ability to work in a private space where confidential client and/or employee information is not visible or audible to anyone other than the employee and you must have access to reliable and secure internet connection.

What is the opportunity?


Within RBC's Personal & Commercial Canadian Banking Operations (CBO), the Operations Centres are delivering best in class service within all lines of businesses including the Business Lending, Personal Lending, Specialized Services, and Transaction Services.

Our overarching goal, through employee engagement, is to meet client commitments, improve productivity, and create a superior client experience.

The Operations Centres are a great foundation for understanding banking and can be a spring-board to other opportunities elsewhere in CBO and RBC.

You will be placed in one of the above groups.

You will be responsible for processing client transactions within one or more RBC product or service line(s). You will utilize various systems while ensuring quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing requests.


What will you do?

  • Support client and internally originated requests in an accurate and timely manner
  • Deliver excellent service to our clients every time; focusing on doing what is best for our clients and the organization making it Simpler, Faster, Better

  • Continuous proactive and agile approach to adapt to change, to process work volumes as measured through established Client Service Commitment timelines
  • Exercise due diligence by following operational risk policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
  • Take ownership and accountability of client transactions at first point of contact and works to resolve at source, refers to manager where applicable in accordance with established client escalation protocol

What do you need to succeed?

Required:


  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary institution
  • Ability to grasp information quickly with high attention to detail
  • Aptitude for a multifaceted and complex environment, able to adapt quickly
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
  • Willing to complete some repetitive tasks
  • Experience setting stretch goals, not satisfied with the status quo
  • Flexibility to work within the Centre hours of business

Nice to have:


  • Bilingual in Both English and French
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Previous experience at RBC or with Banking Operations' systems

Notre objectif général est de respecter nos engagements envers la clientèle, d'améliorer la productivité et de créer une Expérience client supérieure, grâce à la mobilisation des employés.

Un rôle au sein d'un Centre administratif permet d'acquérir des connaissances essentielles sur les opérations bancaires et peut servir de tremplin pour divers postes ailleurs à Exploitation, Services bancaires canadiens et à RBC.

Vous serez affecté à l'un des groupes mentionnés plus haut.
